We wish to inform you that the United Nations is now accepting applications for its next examination for short-term French Translators and Verbatim Reporters. Applicants who succeed in the examination will join the Global Language Roster shared by language services at United Nations Headquarters in New York and the United Nations Offices at Geneva, Nairobi and Vienna for temporary work assignments in French translation or verbatim reporting. Applicants must have French as their main language, and also have an excellent knowledge of Arabic, English, Russian or Spanish.
The announcement (also available in French) has been posted on the UN Careers portal. The deadline for applications is 26 April 2023. Candidates wishing to apply should first create a profile on the UN Careers portal, if they don’t have one yet. A Question-and-Answers document (in French) is available to candidates in preparation of the examination.
